Research
A significant characteristic of the Koç University School of Medicine is that it places particular importance on scientific education and research. With this aim, the students will be encouraged, starting with their first years, to perform researches in the research laboratories or clinics of the University.
Courses and conferences on the scientific foundations of medicine will be organized, training on research methodology will be given, opportunities to participate in practical trainings, congresses, and seminars in research institutions at home and abroad will be provided, and development of unique research projects will be supported. Pursuant to the basic educational philosophy of the University, studies that overlap with medicine in the fields of basic sciences, engineering sciences, and social sciences will be given particular importance.

To be a national leader in the field by using high level educational and research facilities, carrying out researches that provide improvement in public health and contributing to universal medical literature and publishing them.
