(European Medical Student Association-Koç University)
Koç University School of Medicine is also a member of the European Medical Students Association. They organize a summer school in our medical school every year since they become a member. To date, they have organized 7 summer schools, one on cardiovascular diseases, three on neurological sciences, one on reproductive health and fertility, one on cancer, and one on organ transplantation and artificial organs. Synapsist, which is the biggest activity of EMSA KU, is an immersive, 7 day summer school at Koç University for medical students. This year the 5th of Synapsist will be held in Rumelifeneri Campus by the nest of the Black Sea.
Every year, the topic of Synapsist is chosen among the most important, popular and inspiring subjects of medicine. This year’s topic will be Organ Transplantation and Artificial Organs.
The academic program of Synapsist5 involves lectures from successful scientists and expert specialists in their fields, practical workshops, and peer training sessions.
The colorful and broad social program of Synapsist5 will give you an opportunity to discover the natural beauty and the historical texture of Istanbul. Moreover, you will have a chance to meet with other medical students from all around the world.
