Faculty of Medicine Department of Brain and Nerve Surgery faculty member Prof. Dr. İhsan Solaroğlu has been elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (https://euro-acad.eu/). The European Academy of Sciences and Arts is a European non-governmental organization committed to promoting scientific and social progress. The academy brings together over 2000 distinguished scientists from all over Europe, including 32 Nobel Prize winners. Dr. Solaroğlu will receive his membership certificate at the ceremony of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, which will be held in Salzburg on 5-6 April 2024.

Assoc. Prof. Atay Vural, faculty member of the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine contributed to the diagnosis of thousands of patients by bringing MOG and neurofascin antibody tests, which he developed within the scope of his studies on translational immunology, to Turkey, and contributed to the diagnosis of thousands of patients, Faculty of Engineering faculty member Assoc. Dr. Savaş Taşoğlu received the "Eczacıbaşı Medical Incentive Award" for contributing to the development of automated systems in his laboratory that can measure the reactions of various drugs to bioactive molecule combinations, and devices that make point-of-care disease diagnosis at an affordable cost and measure and analyze various health parameters in the long term.

PhD Thesis of Dr. Cansel Vatansever, who currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at KUISCID, has been awarded as the best outstanding thesis by Council of Higher Education (YÖK) under Health and Sports Sciences. Dr. Vatansever’s thesis was supervised by Vice Director Prof. Füsun Can.
