Documents required from successful candidates in the examination for specialty in medicine to apply for a post in the medical field of our university

Successful candidates should apply within 15 work days after official announcement of the results by Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center. All documents should be submitted to the respective Deans’ Offices. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted or processed. Candidates whose documents and records are either late, incomplete, or found to be discrepent during processing are disqualified. These candidates cannot claim any rights to be appointed.

Required Documents
+ Letter of application

+ Résumé/ Curriculum Vitae (bearing the official format required by the Council of Higher Education)

+ Printout of the result of the competency /placement test

+ A copy of the Diploma and/or a copy of Certificate of Education from the Council of Higher Education’s web page on E-State’s site (a notarized copy or a validated copy by the School of Medicine that the person has graduated from)

+ If the candidate has completed his/her studies abroad; a verified copy of “Diploma Equivalency Certificate” issued by the head Office of the Council of Higher Education

+ A double sided copy of the official identity card of the candidate

+ Certificate of exemption from national military service

+ Medical report from a public general hospital

+ Passport type photograph

+ Judicial record document

+ A current copy of certificate of domicile

During the registration, foreign candidates should provide this list of documents:
+ Letter of application

+ Résumé / Curriculum Vitae

+ Printout of the competency/placement test result

+ If the candidate is a graduate of a Turkish school of medicine, his/her diploma; if the candidate is a graduate from a university abroad, a notarized copy of “Diploma Equivalency Certificate” issued by the head Office of the Council of Higher Education.

+ Medical report from a public general hospital

+ Passport type photograph

+ Judicial record document

+ Original or notarized copy of a letter or certificate issued by a recognized entity directed to Koç University’s Graduate School of Medicine, indicating the candidate’s competency in all aspects of Professional Turkish language. (This certificate should be provided at the least a year from the candidate’s commencement of education. Failure to provide this document on time, may result in dismissal from the graduate school. Foreign students who have received their diplomas from a Turkish university are not required to provide this certificate.)

+ A notarized copy of residency permit issued by Directorate General of Security, Immigration Office

+ Documents indicating the candidate’s financial resources through the duration of studies in Turkish Republic.

** Postgraduate students are academically subjected to legislation 2547.

** Before commencement of employment, a contract within the frame of legislation 4857 is signed by each candidate.
